Being a busy person myself I don't have much time to explore but I liked to try different products that really works for my skin and for my budget too. last year I got opportunity to visit seoul, korea which makes me more attracted towards korean skincare, I can swear the korean skincare really brings happiness to my skin. I am also somehow addicted to my skincare routine which has really bought big changes.
I should also give more credits to my korean friend Myung-hee short we call her moon. By profession she is also an Esthetician.
I also learn skincare tips from Moon as they feel 15 skincare steps is simple. For us she also clarifies to follow 7 most important steps to follow.
Caring for oily skin requires a tailored approach to manage excess oil while maintaining skin health. Essential tips include gentle cleansing with oil-based and water-based cleansers, regular exfoliation using mild chemical exfoliants, opting for non-comedogenic and oil-free moisturizers, using oil-absorbing products throughout the day, embracing non-comedogenic makeup, applying sunscreen daily, avoiding harsh products, and seeking professional guidance if concerns persist. Consistency in a skincare routine designed for oily skin is vital to strike a balance, keeping the skin refreshed, shine-free, and radiant."
Here are some essential tips to follow for oily skincare given by korean estheticianMyung-hee:
1. Gentle Cleansing: Use a gentle, oil-based cleanser to effectively remove excess oil, dirt, and impurities without stripping the skin. Follow up with a water-based cleanser to deep-cleanse without causing dryness.
2. Regular Exfoliation: Incorporate regular exfoliation, around 1-2 times per week, to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. Opt for chemical exfoliants containing ingredients like salicylic acid or gentle AHAs/BHAs to manage oiliness without irritation.
3. Balanced Hydration: Despite having oily skin, it's crucial to maintain hydration. Use oil-free moisturizers or hydrating serums/gels that are non-comedogenic to provide moisture without adding extra oil to the skin.
4. Avoid Over-washing: While it may seem logical to cleanse excessively to combat oiliness, over-washing can strip the skin of its natural oils, leading to rebound oil production. Stick to cleansing in the morning and evening.
5. Use Oil-Absorbing Products: Incorporate oil-absorbing sheets or blotting papers throughout the day to manage excess shine without disrupting makeup or skincare products.
6. Choose Non-Comedogenic Products: Look for skincare and makeup products labeled as non-comedogenic. These are formulated to avoid clogging pores, reducing the likelihood of breakouts.
7. Sun Protection: Don't skip sunscreen, even if you have oily skin. Choose oil-free or gel-based sunscreens that won't exacerbate oiliness while providing protection from harmful UV rays.
8. Avoid Harsh Products: Steer clear of harsh, alcohol-based products as they can strip the skin and trigger increased oil production as a defensive response.
9. Consider Professional Help: If oily skin concerns persist or become severe, consider consulting a dermatologist for personalized advice or prescription treatments.
Consistency and patience are key in managing oily skin. Establishing a skincare routine tailored to your skin type and needs will help maintain balance and control excess oil production while keeping your skin healthy and glowing. The right steps will definitely bring bye-bye to greasy skin and brings confident in yourself.
